Let’s dive in!
Ingredients:
- 2 ripe avocados, diced
- 1 cup grape tomatoes, chopped
- 1/2 onion, finely chopped
- 1 jalapeño, seeded and finely diced (more if you love extra heat)
- Juice of 1 lime
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- Chipotle seasoning to taste
How To Make It:
- Start with the tomatoes, because we want all that juicy goodness at the bottom of the bowl. Toss them into your mixing bowl.
- Add the chopped onion, cilantro, and jalapeno. I like to use my mini food processor.
- Next comes the avocado—the hero of this salsa. We want nice, chunky pieces, so be gentle while stirring.
- Squeeze that fresh lime juice all over. Not only does it add a pop of bright flavor, but it also keeps our avocado from turning brown too quickly (plus, I just love lime on pretty much anything).
- Season with chipotle, adjusting to taste
Tips for Serving:
- Perfect as a dip with tortilla chips or pita wedges.
- Spoon over tacos for an extra layer of creamy, spicy flavor.
- Use as a topping for grilled chicken or fish to add freshness.Spread on toast for a quick and flavorful breakfast.
- Add to scrambled eggs or an omelette for a burst of color and taste.Serve alongside a bowl of chili to add a cool, chunky texture.
Why I Love This Salsa:

Some days I add extra jalapeños, and sometimes I throw in a few diced bell peppers if I need to use them up. The lime, avocado, and cilantro combo just screams “fresh,” and it’s one of those recipes that my family devours every time I make it.
So, next time you need a quick side dish that brings bold, bright flavors to the table, give this Spicy Avocado & Tomato Chunky Salsa a go. I guarantee it’ll become a regular in your rotation, just like it is in mine.
